Invitation to Prayer from Faces of Children ... Wednesday

Faces of Children is an ecumenical prayer ministry under the auspices of First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. Their mission is to initiate ministries of prayer for children in churches, communities, and neighborhoods. In doing so, they seek to provide an opportunity for people of God to join together, learn about children and their needs throughout the world, and celebrate Christ's love (especially as it relates to children).

Invitation to Prayer ... Wednesday

Hi Friends,

We will be meeting this Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., in the gym conference room at First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. I hope you can join us to pray together for children in our community and around the world!

Warmly,

USA // Backpage shut down!

Praise God for news of this wonderful breakthrough! Backpage, long known for it's facilitation of sex trafficking in the USA, was shut down on April 6, 2018! Read more here ...

Praise God for this answered prayer, and let's pray that another site doesn't quickly spring up in it's place. May this just be the first step among many of shutting down more sex trafficking rings, especially those that involve minors, in the USA.

SYRIA, IRAQ, and MIDLAND // FPC member Jeff Darr moving to Middle East

Please pray for Jeff and Robin Darr, and their extended family, this week as Jeff takes on a new assignment with Partner's Relief and Development as one of their in-country program coordinators in Iraq and Syria. Jeff leaves this week for his first rotation. Partner's is in the process of setting up an established program to better serve communities struggling to cope with the after-effects of war, including rebuilding schools, medical clinics, a large-scale meal distribution

BOSTON // Praying for Cannelongo Family

This week, some of our local intercessors have been praying for a little girl named Gianna Cannelongo from Maryland. She's a little girl who was adopted from China. Born with a congenital heart defect, she'd had treatment and was mostly in stable condition. Now she's fighting for her life. Read more here ...

Please join me in praying for Gia's lung to heal so she can have her valve replaced again, get off the ECMO, and ultimately get back to being a busy and vibrant little girl!

Praying with you,

Carrie
