In the News ... "Empty Stocking Fund struggling to reach $100,000 goal"

ODESSA, TEXAS - This Christmas, many low-income families may struggle to put together the funds to give their children gifts for Christmas, but the Salvation Army is working to help ensure Odessa children will find some gifts under their Christmas tree through the Empty Stocking Fund, a joint project with the Odessa American.

The funds raised are used to provide a holiday meal and to buy toys and other presents for the children of low-income families, and Maj. Guy Watts said the Empty Stocking Fund has raised $11,862 so far toward their $100,000 goal ...
